Calling myself a ‘coach’

Look, you know how I feel about the word coaching.There are so many dodgy coaches in online biz that haven’t done what they’re telling you to do. That are only recycling the advice their ‘6 figure formula’ coach told them. That only care about their profit margins and not yours.

And there are a lot of brilliant coaches who can make a life changing difference to your clarity, confidence & courage.

The trick is the word can mean many things.

For a long time people didn’t really understand what I do for & with people. I’m a learner, a doer & a storyteller. I like figuring shit out and making stuff.

I like thinking about the big picture, the possibility, the f*ck the patriarchy vibe.

I created a print biz at 15, did national corporate admin at 21, international film production at 25. I had a vid production biz wearing all the hats & making ALL THE MISTAKES.

Then event management, sales, marketing. Then outdoor weddings & festivals. Cue the panic attacks 😳

Then I was a booked out OBM and a creative & tech VA. Then a booked out podcast producer. I wrote poems, made tv shows, card decks, magazines. But I didn’t feel like I had my shit together.

Turns out the anxiety was undiagnosed ADHD and a lot of people pleasing gone wrong & expectation mis-management. But what does all of this have in common?

The making stuff, the learning, problem solving & the chats.
The space holding & the visioning. I can just see it. I can’t explain how but I can.

I can see your book, your podcast, your card deck, your month sabbatical.

Coaching can mean a lot of things, and I resisted for so long cos I thought there was too many people mis-using the term.

But I really like it & I’m really good at it.

I like holding up the mirror and reminding you how brilliant you are. Or offering an idea or a tool you hadn’t thought of yet. You would’ve got there eventually but why not speed things up? Save some stress.

I’m a maker & a cheerleader first. I get obsessed. And whilst it might not always be great for my sleep habits, it often works out really well for you 😝

So this is a long-ass way of saying, here are some things my clients have sent me this month & I’m finally home in myself ⚡️
